if you had recieved some money to buy a car or go on a vacation, which would you choose?

The car. Because having a car is a vital part of transportation. You will still need a car when you come back from vacating. You can go on vacation anytime, just buy the car now. Besides, you can always go on road trips.

If I were in dire need of a car I'd take the car & save for a vacation next year!!!

If I need the car, I'd get the car. You don't need to spend money on a vacation - that is a luxury.

if you take the vacation when you come back you'll still need a car.
I gave up vacations for five years, so i can by a house ,this year I'm getting my House and I don't miss not going on vacations at all.
just to get away i did things like camping,picnics or going sightseeing in towns with in a short distends from me, I still enjoyed myself and got a way and I saved for a good down payment.
so whats one vacation.

Go for the car.You can drive anywhere you want.Vacations only last a little while then its gone but a car can take you on a vacation anytime.
