Yes, we call it "The chicken incident."
I used my grandmas recipe for celery salad dressing. I thought it would make a great marinade. It smelled so good cooking. Everyone was excited cause normally my ideas for new concoctions turn out great. I tried one bite and almost spit it out. I looked around the picnic table and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. My husband said "What's the matter honey?" I said "well it's really awful." Everyone sighed a relief and practically said at once. "We didn't want to hurt your feelings."

My husband cooked dinner for me once and it was okay, BUT the desert looked like an unset stomack. Strawberry Shortcake made with frozen strawberries (which he cooked!) poured into the little store bought cake cups and then topped the hot mixture with Cool Whip!. Everything melted and ran all over everything. But the taste was too bad.

I was at my cousin's house and she was having a party and we were pretty drunk. Well, you know drunk=hungry, so we popped in a pizza and went and did whatever. We forgot about for a long time and when we remembered we were cooking a pizza we ran upstairs and found a complete black crunchy piece of ash.

When I first became interested in cooking I made a souffle. It was horrible, now my friends ask me to make it all the time.

Yes, I did that with spaghetti and still tried to eat it, it was all burned to the pan. I finally threw the rest away, after almost getting sick. Ew!! =)

Yes, I cooked pastries once that looked beautiful. I was so proud. When I served them to my guests and they tucked in they were charcoal underneath...

You bet, it builds character and makes for some really fun conversations around the dinner table in later years. Roll with it, just life and fun. ;<)
