Okay, I need help. The ebay ad said "Les Paul" but there are no markings on the headstock or neck anywhere. It sure looks like one but is it? Visit this link and tell me what you think:

Hey, that is not a Les Paul, not even close. I have one.
You got stuck with a knock off.
I think you got grounds for a court case on your hands

Hard to tell from the photo but it looks like your standard copy to me. I've handled a couple of genuine Les Pauls and I still don't get what the big deal is but then I'm not an electric efficianado. Take cadaholic's advice and have an someone at a reputable music store give it check.

It may be a "Les Paul" copy produced by some company but that is not a Gibson guitar. It looks like it would be fine to learn on though. I do hope you didn't pay the price of a Gibson Les Paul.

thats no les paul, its a johnson replica of a les paul, always ask for a production number when buying guitars from ebay, i bought what i thought was an austin pro-rocker, which turned out to be a strat with an austin neck
