or do most of them just minor in spanish. If not why? Is it a risk for the GPA?

No. Very few do. Talk to med students and new doctors and you find out that most of them do not try to "game" the system as much as you intend on trying to do.

If you pick Spanish, do it because you really love it and want to learn about it. Don't do it because you'll be unique and possibly catch the eye of an admissions person more. When they see you're a Spanish major, they're going to want to know why you picked Spanish when you're trying to be a doctor. If it's not genuine, they most likely can tell and it won't make you look very good. Also, if you don't do it for a genuine reason, your grades usually suffer because of it. Especially when you hit a rough patch.

If you wanna do Spanish, then just do it. The GPA will come. Just pick it as a minor and you can ramp it up if you think you can handle it.
