Sorry ,they don,t go to heaven and they do not strive to get to heaven.They take solace in a phantom called PURGATORY which they classified as transit to heaven.So they believe that they will make do with second best

What idiot said the Catholics can do anything they want and still go to heaven? The bible says a lot of things and much may be a story rather than fact (possibly to keep people in line with social rules). I am a Catholic, and I do believe there is a God (a higher being) out there somewhere. As for purgatory - the bible (King James version) doesn't say anything about purgatory! The Catholic bible does - so what??? I guess one must stop the fighting and bickering about which church is #1. One thing for sure - I don't care as long as I get to what we mortals call heaven! Purgatory - NO! I won't settle for "second best"!!

Catholics have what they call a confessional booth. That's where they tell their priests of all their sins. The priest absolves them of those sins and then counters with a set number of prayers, as well as to which prayers they must say and know and recite them by heart out in the pew of the church on their knees to God, and Christ on the cross. If however they do not confess their sins - then they cannot receive holy communion until they do. I know this because I was forced as a child into a religion my parents believe in. I am no longer a part of that organisation. Have not been for years, and do not intend on going back or to any church for that matter. It still does not make me a sinner for not going. And I do not need to tell my sins to a priest to be absolved of them. I can speak directly to God myself if I so choose to.

Because they make the laws up as they go along - lets face it the Bible was written 330 years after Christ by men who thought the world was flat. At the end of the day at days of end all religions are man made with selfish purpose. I'm a spiritualist and am defiantly non religious. I decide my values I live by and I decide what values i will be judged upon . NO ONE else will do that for me. Jew, Christian Catholic or Muslim all have blood on their hands and all are man made blind faith fantasies and all practice non acceptance of difference, it's sad and pathetic.

They can't. That's a myth propagated by the catholic church to lure people in. Most of the modern "Christian traditions" started that way, and gradually became accepted as fact, when they are actually blatant lies.
Remember, the Catholic church is a profit making international corporation. They are not about truth. They are about money.

I'm not catholic but I would have to agree with you on this one. I heard they have a "get out of hell free card" its call a confessional. Its a nice system.
