Can you take new jeans to a tailor/dry cleaners etc to get the waist stretched or somehow modified to make it a little bigger? (like an inch or two). Or any other ways you can stretch the waist of jeans besides wearing them in, they're really close to fitting, and I dont wanna waste 230$ !!

Thanks:]

PS. its too complicated to return them.

they have an extension one side has a button other side has a loop in some magazine called harriet carter.. or ya can make ur own thingy like that .. or being I sew i would cut the side of the waist on both sides of the band and open it up and add a gusset ( piece of cloth) - a tailor at the dry cleaners can add this piece with jean material..do crunches

A seamstress could do it if they have an industrial sewing machine. Denim is very hard to sew. Denim does not stretch that much. So they would have to see if the material could be added. A 'V' piece would have to be added to the back to make the waist bigger.

what I do, is i step on one side of the waist(from the inside)
and i pull on the other every time before i wear them. be
careful not to tear them though. But doing it that way can
wear them out pretty soon so yeah i would take them to a sailor which you can find in the phonebook anywhere...

Tell me about it!
I have some Rock & Republics that were too long and I had them heimed.
Yes, you should be able to take them to any good seamstress and have them altered.
Try Nordstrom.
But the better answer would be to diet for a week and then you don't have to worry about it.
