In a way my dad was more stricket because if he told us off we knew that we had done wrong because it would have been what my mum had told him. But if i wanted something then i would go and ask my dad as he would nearly always say yes and even now im still a daddies girl/. lol.

My parents divorced when I was 5 so my Dad was'nt around. My Mom worked full time so I was "raised" by a string of baby sitters until I was 11....then I was pretty much on my own after that! I would have preffered a strict parent than no parent!

dad and the funny thing is back then I hated how "mean" he was but now there's no one in the world I respect as much as him.
I'm going to be a tough parent just like him!
Also there was only 2 times I've ever seen my dad cry. At my great grandma's funeral. I started crying and I made everyone else cry...but my dad only got a little teary eyed. When I moved out for the first time I moved to the west coast and so my dad had to take me to the airport- he shoved me off 10 minutes before I needed to be at my gate because he was starting to cry and didn't want me to see. lol.
tough cookie!

My Mum & if you really p*ssed her off she could deal with you no problem. Dad was just a crank & hardly ever saw him, he was either working, golfing or working out. Still wouldent swap them though had plenty of good times as well.
