no, it might get some dirt off but not pesticides they like to cling on to fruit so u need to wash it off, and not with just water, most pesticides are greasy and thats what makes it so shiny besides the oil they use to make it look nice. there is a fruit wash u can buy called citronal. its same enough to wash fruits and veg. in because thats what its made from.

No it doesn't. Washing the apple with dishsoap and water is the only way to get the pesticides off.
