In a very controlling and emotionally abusive relationship for 8 yrs now. When I pretend things are ok then he is fine. When I live in reality. We fight constantly. He is also a compulsive cheater. Like he needs to be validated constantly by other guys with sex.

If I leave I leave with nothing. My car is in his name. I don;t work because it just gives him more time to cheat.

Not allowed to have friends. Or go to the beach. Has GPS on my cell phone to track me thru out the day. He doesn't think I know. Calls every 15 mins to see what I am doing.

People start their life over all the time right??

I'm afraid to leave and afraid to go. Will not have a car for while.

Feel so alone down here.

I'm gonna try my damnest to get a job and act like things are fine. I could have the car pd off in 3 months. I want to move out of this area and back up to Orlando. Have all my friends there. I know a car is just a car, but I have been in this for way too long to leave with nothing.

You could spend another 8 years with him or leave him.

Oh, yes, LEAVE. Start over, dude.
But it will be stupid to leave without money at all. You do have a workplace, right? Just move to some other opt. and pay the rent yourself. If the car is the issue, ride the bus for a while until you can afford yourself a new car.
It will be alright.

Get out. Get out NOW and take whatever you can with you. There must be someone in your family you can turn to. If not, contact your nearest mental health hotline or gay community centre for a referral to an agency who can help you. In Canada there are places to turn when you're in an abusive relationship and they are not solely for straight women. There must be something similar in Florida.

Get out of there NOW.

Ok first you have to have friends and family and that's where you need to go. The fact that the car is in his name doesn't matter, leave it and regain your life. No one deserves to be with someone who cheats on them and treats them the way he is treating you and the fact that you don't work to keep him from cheating is insane.
You need to regroup and prioritize and make yourself number 1.

You don't want my advice... I'd kill him. I really would.

But if you can't bring yourself to commit murder, then you go ahead and leave and start over, because no one should have to live like that. That's terrible.
