First ---what kind of Screen.

CRT t.v.'s---ie: glass---use windex it's the best. heavy grime 409 first, let sit to dissolve, then windex.note;don't let windex or 409 go into the bottom edge it will drip inside.spray top to down. and wipe bottom to top allowing for max soak time in seconds.

Lcd monitor-they say water and soft cotton cloth only.
but ihave tried windex in a corner to test and i use it occasionally. do not spray onto lcd monitor screen directly-too concentrated of chemical.spray on a cotton cloth and wipe lcd clean gently.

i am not answering the question, but it reminded me of an incident once. just have to tell it. i was a TV technician once, and i got a call to repair a TV in a home. upon arrival, the owner told me, the picture was very weak. i tool a look, and [you guessed it] i washed off the screen and there was the picture, nice and clear. i HAD to charge for the service call, but i know they were embarrassed true story.

A solution of vinegar and water and a soft terry cloth rag, will cut through the grease and get the glass clean. If you don't have a soft rag, use newspaper, it really works well.
