If you have legal guardianship and they live with you they can be put on your SS.

NO...simple answer. A former poster stated something about adoption. That won't fly either, will be stopped in the courts.

HOWEVER, if the grandparents have enough income that they are required to file annual tax returns. You and your children can be claimed as dependants, using head of household. Provided you do not work.

Be advised, fraud is a serious crime.

There may be a prob in your grandfather claiming you as a tax deduction. Regardless of who supports whom, anyone over the age of 19 who is NOT A STUDENT, cannot be considered a tax deduction.

Otherwise there would be 40 year olds living with mommy and daddy and never wanting to work.

If you're not paying taxes and you are able to work, you should get a job and not try to figure how to get your grandfather's money.
