Ha! I am laughing at the fools in the media who are changing thier predictions just because of Mr. PineTar.
Sure The Tigers will miss Rogers, but it's not the end of the world. If Chad Durbin doesn't work The Tigers have plenty of other help down in Toledo. Yes, I am concerned....but I am NOT worried.

Duncan, you're too funny. Yes, we tied the almighty Yanks, but we also kicked thier butts twice in spring...and lets not even go on about last October. Because I could really go on about that!

We are referring to the same "media" that had the Tigers battling the Royals for last place at the beginning of last season. This is the same bunch of people that all but hand the trophy to the Yankees at the beginning of every season, guess it has been a while since the "experts" were right! Losing Rogers isnt good but the best teams can overcome injuries,if I remember correctly people panicked when Maroth went down last year. They will hand the ball to Chad Durbin, if he doesnt get the job done they can start Grilli or Ledezma. Or they can use the Toledo pipeline and call on someone like Zach Minor (who by the way did nicely filling in last season) Andrew Miller (the big power pitching lefty will be a top of the rotation starter within 3 years if not sooner), Jordan Tata who many teams have inquired about and had a nice cup of coffee with the Tigers last year, Virgil Vasquez....the prospect the Yankees wanted really bad that the tigers refused to give up in the Sheff deal or Preston Larrison who has a major league arm and did very nicely during last years World Baseball Classic. Plus they have former 1st rounder Klye Sleeth who looks like he has recaptured the stuff that had everyone so high on him just 2 seasons ago.
So I will be trying to contain my laughing fits like most Tiger fans and will try even harder to control my laughing fits when these same clowns act like they knew the Tigers were among baseballs best come October! Most teams wish they had the Tigers problems....they have better starters in Toledo than a lot of teams have as 2nd or 3rd starters.

Chad Durbin? He of the 17-30 lifetime record and a lifetime 6.14 ERA?How is he going to work out exactly? And let's not forget that Maroth is only a few seasons removed from being a 20 game loser. You're not talking Cy Young there, you know.Bonderman? He was 14-8 last year;his career year. That isn't much of a career. He's a sub .500 career pitcher. If the help they have down in Toledo can't beat out these guys, what makes you think they can beat Cleveland,Minnesota or Chicago?
Your Tigers, like the Cubs,had/have a potent offense. But they didn't address their real need and that is pitching. They are going to miss Rogers pretty bad.I'm sure the Tigers appreciate that you are still driving the bandwagon, though.

Georgie, I'd be worried about Durbin. It helps to have Maroth back and perhaps he can eat up some of the innings Rogers would have but that division is going to be a battle this year.

I agree with you about the tigers they have a great farm system and being without Rogers won't effect them that much. I never listen to the media all they talk about are the yanks and redsox.

Missing Rogers is deffinetely not going to help, but they do have a great farm system, and overall industry. Unlike the Red-sox, where I believe Daisuke Matsuzaka will not come of his full potential there.

I'm afraid this is NOT the year of the Tiger!! Memories of their big CHOKE in the World Series last year still linger in their minds!! I mean, they lost to the lowly Cardinals!! Get real.
