Perimeter of cube
Cube is a parallelepiped that sides are squares(all sides are equal). So the perimeter of the cube is the number of sides * length. Cube has 12 sides.
So the perimeter formula is:
P = 12a
:)

The perimeter of a cube would probably refer to the combined length of its edges (if you can call that the perimeter). A cube has 12 unique edges. So in a 3 x 3 x 3 cube, each edge is obviously 3 (s = 3). 12 * 3 = 36.

P = 12s
P = 12(3)
P = 36

Its "perimeter" is 36 units.

For a 3-dimensional object you would find the surface area instead of the perimeter. In the case of the cube you described it would be6*9=54 square units. Since there are six faces that each have a suface area of 9 square units.

You can't find the perimeter, only the surface area. Perimeter is only 2D i think.

The surface area is 6[six faces] x (3x3)[area of one face]

which is 54.
