There's someone who knows you exist, you say in the halls and you really like them even though you hardly know them...and your terrified of what will happen if you tell them. What would YOU do?
I suck at giving advice(im one of those people who just goes for it pretty much) and poor little Shandy(my niece) is lost♥

I'd just go up to him and say hi. The worst he could do is ignore her. But he's probably shy too, and he'll say hi back. And she can start talking about school, then music, and then try to lead the conversation toward things he likes to do. Maybe Shandy should be more like you.

I would strike up a conversation, but I wouldn't get right down to it. I guess it depends on the person, but for me I would ease into it after getting to know them better and letting them get to know me more.

invite them out for a drink,cinema,park or whatever, so you can get to know them better.
Go with a group of friends if your too shy to go alone

Just act casual, and try to get to know them a bit better. You can let them know when the time is right. welcome back by the way, I havent seen you in a bit!

find a time & way to break the ice, believe me billy knows how scary that is but if she works her way up to it and thinks it through it will be fine
