I'll admit condoms came to mind first. Some other things one shouldn't buy used are food and bandages.

I'm not kidding. I once saw toothbrushes at a garage sale. The woman swore they had never been used because she accidentally bought the hard bristle. They were out of the package, so who in their right mind would take that chance.

socks, would be another I think.
More importantly bedding and a mattress. There was a store in my area that sold used hotel furniture. It was bad. . .really really bad. They ended up being shut down. I wonder why. Could it have been the mattress with the big old stain on it they had leaning outside the building. Not the best advertising.
