The big, loveable oaf! "Tell me about the rabbits, George!" Good choice. I would have to say that my favorite character was Nick Adams, the mountain man from Ernest Hemingway. As for the movies, no character was any better than Rick Blaine from "Casablanca". The coolest of the cool.

i like lennie from mice and men too... except he's kinda scary... crushing mice heads???? but he definitely makes the story much more interesting... i also like ebenezer scrooge in the christmas carol. i love short classics!
