Are you expecting a tornado? Are they just doing drills? You can check the Weather Network or your local news channel to see what is going on in your area.

Coal Valley,Illinois had strong storm there some times in
bad weather the siren go off to tell you there is strong strom

There have been many, many, many tornado sitings lately (U.S. wide). Coal Valley must have been told to sound the sirens because of a warning.

They probably had a tornado warning. The usually sound the sirens if there is a tornado warning for your county. That is what they do here in Iowa.

Maybe they were testing the sirens.Ours went off
here in Ohio this week as a test. It was "tornado
awareness week" as well.
