I heard Karen Carpenter's voice two years ago, and now, I'm a completely obsessed fan. Karen Carpenter was the light of my life. In my deepest, darkest hours at my old school, everybody labeled me as the nerd who couldn't relate to anybody. Karen Carpenter helped me get through that hard time, and I listen to the Carpenters constantly.
Did I mention I'm only thirteen?
Her voice is one of the best I know. Their music is great, and I try to be like them. I think they're the one of the best musicians that the world will ever see.

That was probably one of the songs that touched my heart, and my life the most. I'm old enough to have been around when the song first came out, and it helped me through some tough times.
There was something very special about Karen Carpenter, her voice, and the way she sang a song from her heart. She felt the song and listening to it, you believe her, and can really feel the song from your own heart. At times it may even touch your soul.

Absolute tragedy that she had such a deadly disease before much was known about anorexia... What a waste of a beautiful voice and person.

A beautiful voice in a human body. I sang her songs to all of my kids when they were babes in arms. Such a tragic tale.

Yeah...Karen Carpenter. i was introduce to her by my father. i grew up with The Carpenter. Losing her is one of the ungrateful memory...my favourite songs from her are Jambalaya, Top of The World and the best "Yesterday Once More". Thanks for reminding me on her.

She sang Coke theme tunes!!! Boring boring middle of the road drivel! To be honest, no wonder she starved herself, it was probably a protest at the gawdawful pap her brother made her sing!!!
