The human race is steeped in pathology, re both genders, altho' i have found that males seem the more disturbed of the two, for whatever reason. Good luck to you folks :))

There is no answer to this question that applies to all men. There are men out there who very much have a disrespect for women and there are others like yourself and myself who are highly offended by this idea. I would say that the average guy is somewhere in between or has mixed feelings about women. A guy might hate stereotypical "girly" behaviors but still might love women despite them, especially the ones who are more different than the stereotypical girl.
Also I think there it is popular among men to equate their sexuality with power and manhood. This idea I would consider to be sexist but it ubiquitous enough to have a negative influence on the thinking of otherwise good men. A man might want to be good to women and in many ways succeed but can still have trouble going completely against this societal norm which is disrespectful to women

Most men love women, you ladies may drive us up the wall sometimes, we wouldn't do that to you though we are perfect. Sounds like this guy has had some relationship issues and rather than look honestly at his own role it is much easier to point the finger. Also a lot of guys who cannot honestly talk with women become very critical of them. Their own social ineptness is what breeds this attitude. There are traits that most men do not like about women but that goes the same for how women view men. and for as much as we complain about the differences, we would not be attracted to the opposite sex if we were the same.

I don't know you Robinson or Derovious, but I've seen a couple of your answers tonight, and they seemed pretty balanced. Please, do not hate women (I'm sure you won't, you seem quite ... I don't know... balanced) because of people like Croa or Baba Yaga. Although I'm sure they have every interesting things to say, they often come off at mysandrist. What's more, they even pick at answers which are definitely not derogatory towrds women.
Anyway. As many have said, some people have issues, and that goes for both men and women. There are a lot of bad relationships out there, and it's difficult to deternmine whose "fault" it is.
Sometimes, it's also cultural. In England, a lot of men prefer to stay with their mates than with their girlfriends. Actually, if you believe the polls, a significant number of husbands and wives prefer their dog to their partner! Of course, not everyone is like that.

Some men never get over the rage they felt (as an infant)
about being totally dependent on their Mom.
They then take out their fury on all women, especially the ones closest to them.
These are the kind of horrible little people you find in your work mate, and many of the Trolls here on WS.
Good luck
PS: Rottinson: Being Passive/Aggessive is still Jerky Behavior, just quietly jerky. It does not make you intelligent, nor a gentleman.
@Tinkie Tank-Who rattled your little chain?
Never said YOU are a Momma hating Troll--you just made it
plain,though!
Devious: So glad that you and Tink have a "Circle Jerk" going on! You aren't qualified to discuss anything-you can't even articulate or spell your "thoughts".
OH MY: The list of WS Trolls is almost complete...

When I was around this breed of man I was always under the shadow of this darkness and always felt in despair. I think it's not so much they hate women, but hate the addiction they have to woman (lust) which is their fault not ours. However to disguise their lust, they place blame on the innocent to cover their indiscretions.
I am blessed that I have found MANY men with whom love women and it is visible in their actions and in the general atmosphere around them. They search for intangibles like love, freedom, and accountability. To bad they're too old, too young, or married (sigh) ... I still have hope though. Again, I'm blessed to know these men.

By natures, males are trying to get the most mates and females are trying to get the highest quality mates. In today's society, most women limit most men to just one partner at a time. I believe that's the reason men find their mates as inconvenience, especially if they feel that they are attractive to other women around (i.e. other women want them).

Hmm interesting and plausible view there. I think a lot of men do hate women.. and probably visa versa.. not that I hate men.. Think i'd rather be a man sometimes, it's way better on the male side of things.

I know exactly what you are talking about. It makes me wonder. I work in a male dominated field, and the stuff I hear coming from men's mouths regarding the women in their lives is disturbing. I've dated men too that I would swear secretly hated women. Maybe I don't want to know for sure...

I don't think so. I sometimes look at my attitudes and question if I feel that way myself, and then I think about the girls that I find decent, kind, or compassionate, and I realize that it all boils down to the fact that some women are close to worthless, just like some men are close to worthless. Unfortunately, some people just seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to relationships or acquaintances, which is negative. The guy might have had negative experiences when younger (or older), his parents/an authority might have discouraged interaction with women/painted them to be manipulative and mean, and he might have started reading about injustices done to men while women prosper in certain cases.
I'm pretty sure that people do not naturally hate other people for the overwhelming majority of their existence, although certain conditions can push an individual into "unusual" behaviors and ideas.
I'm sure Baba Yaga will eventually come in with her "psychologist" idea, and there's only one problem with it; most people who supposedly have "problems" are otherwise normal and just need time to think and work it out themselves, not some sort of intervention by a supposed "authority." Furthermore, people don't exactly like being analyzed like a map, and would not most probably not like to visit a psychologists office because of the social stigma attached to it.
This is a great question and I could go on with it, but I'll end it there. Thanks for giving me some time for reflection and thought for once instead of just having to come up with a statistical or rhetorical argument. By the way, you should post this in Psychology too to see what kind of responses you get- I'm sure they'll be more sensible and thought-provoking than anything you'll gather here.
EDIT: I never said it did, Croa. The point is, I have a handle on my emotions, and I would NEVER lay a hand on a woman (unless in a serious situation), so don't worry too much about it. Besides, when is the last time a moody teenager killed or wounded a person by ranting and raving (even occasionally posting useful material) on a website? I'm all about non-violence and all for debate, so discourse is satisfying in my eyes.
And I'm nowhere near the way I appear on this site in real life; I am very courteous and decent at school and in public. I just can't stand misandry and I won't tolerate it, quite plainly.
EDIT II: Thanks for your input, Offkey; rest assured, I know exactly what you're talking about. I certainly don't hate women, my psychology (at least my analysis of it) just happens to be very unusual because of what I consider/what I've been exposed to (my circumstances are not "normal"). Thanks for saying that I'm balanced, because I try to be.
