school was the foundation for what I later learned in life. I've been out of school for a while so accumulated knowledge out of school has had more of an effect. but they are equally important. Difficult to do one well without doing the the other

I believe that in school you can learn the principles of life and then in life itself you observe and see how those principles apply. For me, I think the principles that I have found most valuable, I have learned from Church and family. Then, being observant, I see how those principles apply and decide what truths exist to live by.
Bottom line, I think I learn more about living from everyday life, but I would not have been able to learn what I did learn without the principles being taught to me from school, church and family.
