No.
** establish justice
Stripping constutional protections. Imprisoning citizens and non-citizens for years without trial. Punishing people based on what they choose to do voluntarily in the private homes. Lying about political motives. And the govt breaking its own laws. None of these have anything to do with justice.
** insure domestic tranquility,
We are more politically polarized now than any time since the Civil War. Crime is among the highest, and public confidence in govt is near the lowest. And more legislation is being passed to mandate hatred and discrimination every day. None of these are promoting tranquility.
** provide for the common defense
Sure. Defense to the point where people are afraid to leave their homes or talk on the phone if they happen to belong to the wrong religion or ethnic group. But the US is more hated as a country than any time in our history, which cannot be good for our defense.
** promote the general welfare,
Sure. Welfare to the point where people cannot think for themselves, suppor themselves. Where half of our money is taken away for govt-mandated charity. Where people can't even make decisions for themselves, because they think it's up to the government to set all rules of conduct.
** secure the blessings of liberty
Don't get me started.

and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity: Yes we have free speech and open protest for and against any number of subjects if not those in OR would all be in jail.
, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Last that is for sure. The Constitution is working well with the free elections and we all still have our rights very much intact.

according to Bush "the Constitution is just a god damn piece of paper." - 2005
I have never listened to a president being sworn in or anything, but I would swear there was something in there about upholding the Constitution...maybe I am wrong...I have been known to be wrong in the past.
