We are adding a couch and possibly a table type of thing... is there anything I am missing that seems nessecary??

A way to communicate with your friends -- like a chalkboard by the door; basic first-aid supplies in an accessible place (if you don't need them, someone else might);
a supply of clean water, various sources of light (candles, flashlights), & some ways to clean things so as to avoid sickness: salt, rubbing alcohol, soap, dish soap; ways to store things to avoid illness (do you really WANT to eat crackers that mice have been crawling on & chewing on ??). Also an agreed way of dividing up the chores & expenses, so you can keep your friendships !

hot tub... deck... out door firepit... chairs poker table... make it like a small but BIG apartment add a few rooms who wants to sleep on the floor? Make sure that couch is a sleeper and add more than one... :)

Add a fireladder (even a rope one) that you can get down in case there is an emergency.
