There are wild horses all over the west and north west. In Idaho, WA, OR, Ca, ND, SD,NV, they live in mountains, plains and are very adaptable to the terrain they are in. If nothing else is there to eat they eat their own poop. I have watched them catch these wild horses to move to a new place and give shots and pull porcupine quills out of them and take halters off when people have dumped them. They are mean lean fighting machines to stay away from. I have had horses around me all my life--they will survive. A majestic animal.
