Why are there always more (majority, only sometimes) black people in shoe stores than any other race?

I'm not racist or anything, I'm just curious.

I live in Eastern Virginia and go to either Athlete's Foot or Finish Line. Maybe this is why?

Well I think it's the type of shoe store you go to..if you go to an Italian Leather shoe store..i'm sure you wouldn't see as much Black people as you would when you go to a Foot Locker,or any other Sports shoe store. Black people tend to dress Urban..and they like wearing the new Jay's..hey I do too! And i'm not black..I'm Mexican! Urban people love keeping up with the newest kicks they got out..we'll spend a couple hundred too!

In the united states, black people are the largest consumer group when it comes to spending than any other group of people as shown by statistics. Where you tend to see them, may just be a mere coincidence, or maybe you are subconsciously making a racial correlation.

I honestly have no idea why you feel that way. I notice mostly white women in the shoe stores I go into. Maybe it depends on the type of shoe store it is.

it quite is a genetic toss of the cube. you have 3 or 4 toddlers with 3 or 4 diverse hair textures, epidermis hues, and so on. there is not any thank you to predict it. I certainly have a blended cousin who has blond hair and blue eyes whilst her brother has darkish hair and darkish eyes. you will desire to also have a baby who has a genetic trait that neither of you have--like one among my Puerto Rican acquaintances in intense college had vibrant crimson hair through fact his grandfather replaced right into a redhead! you will purely would desire to attend and notice!

Probably because you notice them being in there... you go there and with all the white folks I see wearing the exact same sneakers that blacks wear also I am sure that they do their share of shopping in those stores

I loooooove shoes.

The only time I notice other people in shoe stores is when they're reaching for a pair I want!

I guess it's kinda like that "Air Force One" song--in hip-hop culture, you usually need fresh shoes and you ditch 'em once they get scuffed or dirty. Check out the lyrics to that song.

So you'd need lots of shoes.

But for non-rappers, IDK. Maybe they follow the same principle.

Because we like our shoes to match every outfit we have. I have quite a few pair that only go with a certain skirt or pair of jeans... We don't tend to wear old and scruffy tennis shoes because it looks tacky...
