I think that is an amazing quote and very true. if you try to please everybody you will drive yourself crazy.I think there are times when you can keep everybody happy for a matter of time but it is impossible to please everybody all the time.

Actually, there is a way.

1. Always keep busy.
2. Help others whenever you can.
3. Keep away from Idle conversation.
4. Always offer kindness.

The old addage, idle hands are the devils playground is really true.

My grandmother was a saint. If you ever met her, you would say the same. Anybody that has ever met her agrees.
There is nobody that knew or met her that would ever say anything unkind about her.
I am no saint by any means, but those were the things she exhibited.

She was always the first to get up from the dinner table if somebody needed something.
You could always count on a card from her during any holiday.
She was always sewing or taking collections or volunteering for the church.
She kept busy in the yard with vegetables and flowers

If she ever did scold you, you would feel like an A$$ for ever doing it in the first place.

She would do what most men are too lazy to do.

She was religous, but not the way you might think.
She was not homophobic, nor racist, nor anything else that another would find offensive.
She never slandered a single person.
She attended church often and regularly.
I can't see myself getting up at 5:00am to attend morning mass with 3 feet of snow and the temperature below freezing.
She didn't use the heater, because it was only a mile away.

All the way up until the time she died, she would carry 80lb bags of fertilizer to feed the flowers.
There was no stopping her.
You would feel bad for being so lazy.

If anybody ever tried to take advantage of her, there were a number of neighbors, friends and relatives that would come to her aid, sacrificing themselves for her. Because, she was always willing to help anybody that needed it.

It is not easy to do what she did. I don't blame anybody for not being as she was, but she did set a good example.
That is difficult to follow.

I guess those are the signs I seen from my experiences with her.

I might add that she never parked in a handicapped spot, even when she was handicapped.
She was never lazy.

P.S. She did not drink, nor smoke. She rarely watched TV, because she was too busy to do so.

he is 100% right. If you heave people on two different sides it is not as easy as the movies show it is for them to like each other! In fact about 87% of opposite sides stay that way till death! If you try to please two different people or sides you will get burned unless you do it like the movies show, which is almost impossible. when you talk to one side then the other does not feel equal and then they get mad at you and then when you see them the other side gets angry. All you find yourself doing is going bck and forth and then YOU are not happy. So stick with one or tell them to work it out, but being the median is like the peanut butter and jelly in a sandwhich, the pressure from the two sides will hurt you worse than anyone else.

no, its impossible. there are the patient people and the unpatient people. depending on who you get to first already tells you if you'll be able to please everybody. the way that a person cant be in two places at one is the same as how everybody cant be pleased. just take a look at our problems here in the world.

When you are pleasedwith your own being....that you intentionally hurt no ne, that you have compassion (even for yourself), then those who see and recognize that light in you will be not only pleased but it will lift up their lives.

Pleasing everyone...well it's unrealistic and not needful for a full life.

no one can please everybody cause everyone is unique. everyone is not the same and have different wants and needs, dreams and hope, etc. also that fact that once they have something they are always going to want more its human nature. no ones desires is ever complete. thats a strong quote and i believe in it

You can't please everyone all the time. People spend a life time trying, and they only live a miserable life.
