Um, last time I checked in the United States of America--it was LEGAL to have an abortion, therefore no jail time.

This is a very controversial topic--but I must first point out that it is a very personal decision a woman has to make. I had a friend who was brutally raped and got pregnant because of it. She was so emotionally a mess (still is 10 years later) and she chose to have an abortion. Do I condemn her for her choice? No--that is between her and God. I have NO right to judge her life. People who sit in judgment aren't better than others.

it is not illegal people, but it is still wrong- laws pass that should never happen. Jail sentences cannot happen because it was made legal- however all who are involved in abortions will one day be held accountable, not from the government but from the Ultimate Lawgiver and Giver of Life- which will be far harder then a jail term. However, unlike the jailer who does not relent most of the time- God, through Jesus Christ can forgive the worst of sins, including abortion.

That is definately a loaded question! Very controversial. I think that there are definately good reasons for abortions, and than there are those that use it as a form of birth control. I think circumstance definately should take consideration, and I don't really think jail would help. Look at the 60's. It wasn't legal, and there were still underground abortions happening all the time. Jail time is not an effective punishment for this. For some girls the lifes sentence occurs immediately following.

Your view is somewhat intolerant and simplistic. I for one wouldn't want to further punish a rape victim, for example.
Even though I don't agree with abortion in principle, in all fairness I have to admit that sometimes it's the right option.
