At home I have a modem/router which has four LAN outputs on the back. Each one of these goes to a computer except number 4 which goes to a wireless router.

On the computer with wireless, why can't I locate any other computer on the network. I used to be able to but can't now. Any ideas?

P.S. Don't think it is a firewall issue.

Check your router it may be set to a wireless pricavy mode in which each wireless device that connects to it is assigned its own individual ip address. You would also see this if ipconfig /all reports your ip differnetly than the rest of your network.

Well you probably are on different lan segments!

Be sure the "wireless router" has dhcp turned OFF, if not you will be assigned an address in its range and not from the DHCP server of the router with the wired computers.
It would be best if all machines were connected to the same router.

If you use Zone Alarm, it can be a firewall issue. Open the logs and you can see which IP addresses have been blocked. Zone Alarm does that a lot.

check if other PCs can find each other.
try search the 4rt PC by name from the 4th PC itself. check whether it is possible or not. if no reinstall the LAN driver.

I hope I don't come across as a hard-nose here, but don't let that doubt keep you from checking out what these guys say. If one of them turns out to be right, THEN you can wonder what happened..
