i have a intel i810E rev. a3... how do i update update the motherboard chipset...

You can upgrade the chipset graphics drivers at Intel's website. If you want a new video card, you can disable the onboard video and install a PCI, PCI Express, or AGP bus video card if you have a slot available. As far as getting a new Northbridge chipset, you will need to buy a new motherboard for that. I'd recommend a Intel 965 chipset or a Nvidia 680sli chipset motherboard. With a new motherboard, however, you'll need a new processor and memory, and possibly a new operating system to support it.

Chipset is hardware... It can only be replaced, by replacing the whole mainboard.

What exactly is the problem?
