The sound on my computer wont work. I dont know why. (its a laptop) my dad took it into work yesterday and they couldnt figure it out either. It has a scroll thing on the frong that i usually use. But its not doing anything. The manual thing on the side is gone too. (but i think i accidently deleted that....but it was working after i deleted that) and now it doesnt show up on the control panel....WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?! (my dads buissness owns it its not ours)

Its a Gateway i dont know what model though....

go to the sound devices on the control panel. make sure it isn't muted, if that doesn't work, go to www.gateway.com and on the front or bottom of the laptop, it should show your model #. search for sound drivers for your laptop, that should fix it.

u need to look at the bottom and get model number , then if u can hook to the web , go to dell.com and reload drivers for sound ,

Go to Microsoft and download the driver again.

well..if u left your computer on all night the sound dosent work..same thing happend to me...make sure u turn off your computer..nd when you turn it back on their should be sound
