I hope not! NASCAR has already made too many mistakes pulling races from their traditional tracks. Pulling the Labor Day race from Darlington was perhaps the biggest slap in the face to the southern fan base that made NASCAR a sport from the beginning. Add to that, the fact that NASCARS premier series no longer races at all at Rockingham. Personally, if they wanted to add a few more tracks, they could take one race from Pocono, one race from California (they never should've gotten two to begin with), and one from Lowe's (they race there 3 times a year for crying out loud). Than they could put Rockingham back on the schedule, and than explore the possibility of adding some more racing in the mid-west region.

Racing is becoming a big money sport. The new generation of executives don't know NASCAR got its start from running hooch and racing on the beach. The smaller venues will slowly be phased out as they look for larger crowds to support and pay them.

I live in North Carolina and it doesn't seem that long ago they cancelled racing in Hickory. A small track that they raced on for years.
