an ald shilling is worth 5 pence in todays money and an old 6d or tanna as it was known as is worth 2 and 1/2 pence today . as there are no longer 1/2 pences ,the answer to your question is 37 pence

37.5p in new money. Take inflation into account and it's worth about 10p today.
PS It should be written 7s 6d (not 6p) or 7/6, or seven and six, or seven shillings and sixpence.
One shilling = 5p (12d)

7s and 6d was 7.5 shillings
Now 1 shilling became 5 New pence
so 7and half shillings became 37 and half New pence
