The Who will always be my favorite band, and they can still rock after 40+ years.

Tom Petty has been around for a long time and has always had an uncompromising sound....I'm not sure if David Bowie qualifies, but he is one of my all time favorite artists

surprised no mentions REM here. gee wiz.
i mean c'mon.
and i think from what i understand the B-52s might be coming back.... now that would be fun.
how bout Beck?? he's been around forever.. and has created one quality album after another.
white stripes are also creating some longevity.. and they're just flat out awesome.

AC/DC. They still tour, in fact I seen them live 2 years ago (the 2nd time I've seen them in concert), and they are incredible. Aerosmith would be my 2nd choice.
