my stock bulbs are halogen 55W and an interested in getting xenon gas filled bulbes also 55W. will doing this improve night time visibility?

The so-called xenon bulbs are usually very-short-lived. I found some on eBay for $30 a pair. They burned out after 3 months. The so-called "lifetime warranty" is useless.

Get Sylvania SilverStars instead. A pair should set you back only like $55 or so. I have a pair that is still working after 18 months.

Of course, keeping the lenses and housing clean, and properly aimed would also help.
