Im doing a final exam for college and was wondering what qualifications does a parole board members have to have. Also if you could give me some websites with this info......thanks

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles' members are appointed by the Governor with the guidance and approval of the Texas Senate. To be eligible to serve, a member must be representative of the general public, be a resident citizen of Texas, and have resided in Texas for the two years preceding appointment. Other than that, no qualifications (e.g., criminal justice degree, legal background) are required. You can read the biographies of the current members on the website (below).
