I don't think that the Korean Defenseman played in the NHL, but if he did ok. As to shortest in the NHL right now there are a few that only have 3 letters in it, and their is an Orr although I can't remember his first name.

and he did play in the NHL for 1/2 NHL season until he got Killed in a car accident. he was a call up!!!
