Anything from Punk to Classical is music to me. It must have some form of musical correctness to be music in my opinion, but it must be known that many people that may not be considered good musicians are labeled geniuses. Even the most simple forms of music like punk abide by the rules of music though.

Check out Bach, Mozart, Chopin, the Eagles, Molly Hatchet, Enya, Elton John, Mason Williams, any traditional Irish group, Charlie Daniels . . .

You get the picture.

Please note the absence of such 'greats' as Snoop Dogg, LL, Puffy, et al. This is not, repeat, NOT music.

Music is something that can make your spirits soar....Something melodic and soothing yet powerful and eyeopening..

Kind of hard to explain but it really depends what mood you're in. I know a man that is deaf (but not from birth) and he said that even if he heard nails dragged across a chalkboard it would be music to his ears.

music to me is based on melodies, chords, and notes that are all related to one another in one form or another. the tempos, progressions and various beats that support it make for different types of music forms. one persons music might be another persons misery too based upon individual tastes as well.

music is the intention and completion of collecting several sounds into one time-stream, this could last 1 second to infinite, contraire to the classical definition of music, this sounds DO NOT NEED to be in harmony to be called music... so let's the classics be in their classic-past-time and shall we live in the 21th century.

music to me is a universal language of souls. It represents our past, as a staple in our youth, our present; of times we're going through(good, bad and indifferent) and our future; hopes and dreams.
Music is freedom of your spirit when your tongue can not speak but your heart longs to sing.
