purely placed, because of the fact he's not being held responsible. plenty the comparable way a murderer ought to no longer in many situations come to the close by PD and turn himself in- Alberto Gonzales ought to no longer end till he's stopped. This I blame on the Democrats, regrettably. If Republicans can impeach a president for a ******** then they should have the ethical fortitude to fasten Alberto Gonzales (and every physique else who refuses congressional subpoenas or lies to congress) up interior the close by reformatory and refuse to enable them to bypass till they actual answer questions or take the 5th.

Alberto Gonzales serves for the "pleasure of the president", but the torture things were the responsibility of Rumsfeld.

Not a suprise. And nothing really to do with the issues.
Besides, Gonzales did his job with the torture memo, by giving his client (Bush) a legal excuse to do what Bush wanted to do.
The fact that Gonzales probably should have refused on moral grounds is irrelevant. He made a legal analysis, and that's not subject to attack on ground of competency. At least, that particular memo wasn't -- other memos I've seen from him do show a gross lack of understanding of the law.

yes,, but George W. will not allow his Attorney General or his chief of staff,, Karl Rove,, to swear on the bible,, nor will he or his VP Dick,,,, they will not take an oath on the good book to tell the truth,, because it is likely that God would strike them,,, then and there,,,, lessons learned from "Scooter",,,
I don't know why though,,, their many sins already committed will doom them to damnation,, so perhaps they are thinking,, well maybe our accommodations won't be in the worst part of hell,, if we just shut the **** up now,, and plead the fifth like our own Monica did.

Sure. But he has an easy out. If he says he never did, he can always use the "I didn't consider it torture" AKA BC defense.

They should stick to the lawyer firing. He will hang himself well enough on that without going into other topics.

He should just resign now. I don't know why he is putting off the inevitable.
