Which of the following should I major and minor in?
-Molecular Biology
-Chemistry
-French
-Spanish

I have an interest for all of them. I am fluent in French but don't really want to major in it since I speak it. But how about Spanish?, I am taking AP Spanish lit(as a non-native) and I think Spanish is important and helpful. I am really good in Biolgoy and chemistry got 5 on Ap test on both of them. AP Calculus 3
-So what should I do?What's safe?
-What about a double major? Is it a risk?

I was thinking of the follwing
1. Major in Chemistry and Major/minor Spanish
2.Major in Molecular Biology and major/minor Spanish
3.Major in Spanish and Major/minor Molecular Biology

what is better number 1, 2, or 3?

Pre-med itself is usually a major, so that's what you should take. Molecular Biology or Chemistry would be my choices for major from your list. Perhaps you should major in pre-med, and minor in one of those two.

As for your three choices, I would say none of them.

You can major in anything you want to, as long as you take the amount of math/science classes that the medical schools you are applying to require, so it would be a good idea to check those requirements and compare them to the classes your chosen major requires. I would say that majoring in a science is a good idea because then you can get those required classes out of the way and not have to take them alongside another major.

It's also nice to show you are well rounded, so if you can handle majoring/minoring in something else it's worth considering. However, the most important thing is that you graduate with an outstanding GPA, so if double majoring/adding a minor will compromise your good grades, then stick to one major and focus really hard on it so you can do well on the MCAT exams.

Major in molecular biology whith a minor in chemistry, and take Spanish as electives. You will be far better prepared for medical school if you study primarily hard sciences.

I would probably suggest majoring in Biochemistry if they offer it and minor in Spanish, especially if you are planning on practicing medicine. There need to be more Spanish speaking doctors. I have heard that Biochemistry will best prepare you for the MCATs. If not Biochem I would say Molecular Biology and Spanish.

you cant major in a language and MINOR in a science and go to med school. you need to major in a science. pre-med. Bio. Chem. whatever you want. but there;s nothing wrong with double majoring or minoring with a language (if you find you have the time--med majors are pretty demanding.)
