Same as it has been for thousands of years.

We defend our borders and act to protect our citizens.
And we venture out to attack those that threaten us.

The only thing that's changed is the types of weapons used.

According to an article in the Washington Post, it may all be over by Oct 08.

I don't think it will end until there are no longer any political benefits of being in a state of war. Even if the "War" did 'end' there would still be terrorists, but hopefully it would mean that terrorism is being resolved through peaceful negotiation rather than military action.

They won't listen to reason. The terrorists used the WORLD Trade Center attack as a Declaration of War against America and the World. We the People should make no mistake about that. Fighting over there will stop by the Dems hands and the terrorists will follow us home and KILL US!! The liberals will try to take our guns again and we will be helpless against crime, terrorists, and the govt. and the UN takeover of the World.

the arms , guns and missiles factories of the world transcending geographical bounderies are working overtime to produce lethal weopons of mass destruction. The amount spent and recovered by selling them to any body and everybody is in full swing . my question is -can we , the people of the world ,close all the arms and ammunition factories of the world.till the time arms and ammunitions are produced surplus to the known requirement there will be anti-socials , miltants , terrorists who would be supplied arms and ammunitions free of cost by the manufacturers to cause destructions . the govt of the day will then have the excuse to buy more arms and ammunitions at double the costs. and this vicious cycle will continue.. In my view it very difficult say who are the real terrorists- the govt of the day, the arms manufacturers or the half starved millions who are gifted arms free of cost by the manufacturers.

Since the world has gone global and "TOLERANCE" is now the new global term. What war on terror? The UK supplied police protection and stopped traffic to allow radical Islam to pray in the middle of the street. They now have their own little gubermint inside the UK, where they enforce sharia law.

US businesses and citizens are being sued because they object to Sharia law. Examples: radicals chanting hate to America and love for Osama scared other passengers on a flight, the radicals were kicked off and now suing the airline and the passengers for being racist, intolerant and violating their civil rights. Islamic cab drivers refuse to give rides to the blind who have guide dogs. Nor will the cab driver allow UNopened alcoholic beverages, even if it's in your luggage.

They now demand some stadiums to provide prayer rooms for them at games. If there's no prayer room, they'll pray wherever they see fit, even if it means blocking traffic to the concession stand. They refuse to scan pork in grocery stores where they're employed.

Our borders remain unsecured and open, anyone and everyone who cares to enter, can and does. Any Muslin who tries to enforce their sharia law in the host country is a terrorist. Yet our gubermint allows these terrorist to remain in our country and provides them with protection and respect, all under the guise of religious freedom. It's odd how Christians are not allowed the same religious freedoms. One stadium has agreed to make a prayer room available to the terrorist. Do you think they'd provide a prayer room for Christians? Or perhaps allow a cross to be hung on the wall for Christians?

How do we justify catering to and protecting terrorist in our own country but trying to kill them, in theirs? The same thing is happening in the UK. No wonder terrorist are swarming to both countries, once they're in, they don't have to worrying about being killed, then they can focus on killing us.

So again, what war on terror?

It's very bleak. The dem's want to put some time limit one the war that they made unpopular. If in a few years the Iraqis will be standing against us because we did not help them finish the job, again.

if the liberals gain the White House the war on terror will be fought on American soil. They will try to talk them to death all the way to Armageddon.

It's going to take time.
Look at the world, every where you find trouble you find muslim extremists blowing people up without regard to age ,sex, nationality or being civilian.
you can't negotiate with thugs and it's going to take time to kill them all.
Iran is the banker and armourer of these people, sooner or later Iran will have to be brought down.

The war on terror doesn't mean anything. It's a blank check for government spending, foreign wars, and domestic abuse of the Constituition. It will keep on going as long as the politicians can milk it.
