my internet connection fails after one hour connected?

hi

this is my question:

when I connect to internet, everyting goes right and works fine, but after one hour +/-(sometimes work only for 30 minutes or less) of connection,it stops working, then I disconnect from the power cable and connect again, and the internet starts working fine again for one more hour ,until it comes down one mor time.

I already verified all the configurations, and they are fine, like the internet server recommends.

I´m using windows XP home edition pack 2,but I´m also using a windows vista tranformation pack, for XP.

I use a aolynk DR814 router,for a 24Mb internet connection.

I suspect from a file or a program that blocks the internet connection, and i´m saying this, because some time ago I had the same problem, and I discovered one process in windows task manager it blocked the connection

help please.

thank you very much, and escuse any errors in my english.

Microsoft Download center- get the Windows Defender and run a full system scan (it is free and works)

Check with your service provider help desk to see if is the ISP bringing you down

Run a full sys scan with an Anti-Virus program(AVG 7.5 is free and it works)

Just google the MS Download center to get a link and the same with AVG 7.5

One of the three out to nail it down

Hi. Your English is fine! Have you used "Task manager" to see what is running in the background? I would also run a registry cleaner to make sure there is no junk in there. Good luck!

Try this

Start
Run
type in cmd in the box
type ipconfig /all
Check your lease obtained and expired times
If it is around a hour call your isp they may be working on the lines

pull up start menu,go to settings, control panel, internet options, connections, settings, properties, dialing and then uncheck idle disconnect box. I use windows ME so yours may be different but look for same idea or items
