Why is "Intruder in the Dust" by William Faulkner "timeless" and still taught today?

With three graduate degrees, I've never heard of "Intruder in the Dust," so I'm not sure that your premise is correct.

ok heres to the lady who answered this before im a senior and i know of that book obviously you need to do some more reading
