It's not haunted. That's just superstitious nonsense and an overactive imagination.

Finding out that a person died in the house will make your imagination go wild, and not finding anybody who died in the house won't stop you from imagining things.

Your brain is geared towards seeing faces and hearing voices. That's helped us survive. It was good to realize there was a person hiding in the bushes. Unfortunately, there are many false positives where the brain thinks it sees something when there's nothing there or turns a squeak into a moan.

Okay go to your a place where they keep old files on the newspaper that was published in your area. I think the library is a good start.

Also, you can talk to neighbors because if it were a recent death, they might know who it was.

Sometimes, the house can be haunted without someone actually dieing in it. In that same, that person died somewhere else and just returned to the place where they liked the most or hated the most. It all depends on the person's life really.

There is no such thing as a ghost. It is your imagination.

Do you live in an old house? Then it probably makes weird noises at night. There are sounds from the neighborhood that filter in - animals such as cats and mice, neighbors talking or moving around, tree branches scraping on the outside of the house, and so on. Also, if you are nervous that tends to make you imagine things.

I've had experiences like this myself. But it is not REAL. Just ignore it and it will go away.

Check your local laws. Some states have policies that require leasors and real estate agents to reveal if someone died (either homicide or naturally) in the house.

Call Sylvia Brown, she can tell you or check out the history of your house at the local library if it's an old house.
