i am getting a laptop with these specs.....Operating System
IS THIS PROCESSOR GOOD? keep in mind its not vista so i think its good...

Depends on two things.

1: How much are you going to be shelling out?
2: What you plan on using it for.

It is a good normal use rig but do not expect it to play any of the newer high end games it will not happen.

That is an all round good computer for daily uses such as surfing the web, and watching a movie. If you want to do some gaming I suggest you upgrade the GPU, you might also consider getting a bigger hard drive.

Hi. You may want a faster hard drive. 5,400 RPM is pretty slow. You can always upgrade the GPU. But sounds good! Here is a review. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1954759,00.asp

you should see if you can find a laptop with core 2 duo instead of core duo, it's ridiculously faster.
