I am a cyclist and hiker with average sewing skills and a yard of this orange material in my stash. I would like to use it for safety-related high-visibility gear that I can make myself. It's a bit heavy for a bandana, and I've made a couple of small flags and pouches from the scraps. I'm looking for suggestions for other projects to make the most of this opportunity. Thanks for your ideas!

Make a small flag to put on the end of those sticks that cyclist's have on their bikes so people can see you easier.
Or sew some on the back of your jackets, tees, or some on your belt.
All you'd need is a small amount glued on a bandana to be visible.

You may not be able to make a full vest, but you could certainly make a tabard vest (email me for specifics, if you don't know what it is) or bright patches on an existing vest. Of course, an X vest would also be fun and different.

If you'd rather, you can get a pattern for a 'bucket hat' prety easily. Those are fun to make and to wear. It wouldn't look like standard-issue safety gear, but would work just the same.
