It has meaning, it's rare but not "out there". Very nice, strong name.

I know a Keaton. He is in one of my classes and he thinks that he is God's gift to women....so, unfortunately, everytime I hear the name, I am going to think if him.

Maybe Keaton as a middle name?

Bradley Keaton
Daniel Keaton
Tanner Keaton

I love it! Michael Keaton is one of my favorite actor and he was great in Batman Returns. I didn't like the first one because they should have the normal bat logo on the costume instead of that weird ugly mutant looking one. Keaton Chester.

If it holds a meaning i think you should name him keaton.

The boy's name Keaton \ke(a)-ton\ is pronounced KEE-ton. It is of English origin, and its meaning is "place of hawks". Actors Michael Keaton, Buster Keaton.

Keaton has 1 variant form: Keeton.

Baby names that sound like Keaton are Kadon, Kaden, Cotton, Gaeton, Kaydon, Kaidon, Kadin and Kadan.

Keaton is a very rare male first name and a very popular surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census).

Hey sweetie,

I love the name Keaton! I'm with you on the unique thing, like can you imagine a little old lady named Amber or something?

I love it! I have never heard it before...

Plus, again with the unique thing, you don't want to give him a name that's topping the charts, like Aiden, unless you want him to go through school as Aiden D. or whatever.

Thanks, and keep asking!

I don't think it is a bad name but I don't love it. To me, it makes me think of Family Ties. Also, if you want a name that isn't trendy or popular you might not want to go with that particular name. The name itself isn't popular, but using last names as first names is extremely trendy these days and there really isn't a whole lot that is unique about it.

But ultimately you have to go with what your heart decides.

i like it a lot. it is actually on my top list for names. i think it would be a great first or middle name for a boy. it would also be a cute middle name for a girl but i prefer it for a boy. that is really cool how you took a name out of your family's origin. that gives the name so much more meaning. i like your idea tons. we have very similar tastes in baby names. <3
