The question should be....if it was your loved on being held hostage, would you want anyone that was willing to help, to help. Thought so......

No.
First, to keep people hostage is not a good reason to destroy a country (couldn't Guantanamo people considered hostages? would that be a good reason to destroy the US?).
Second, they might not be hostages but prisoners, because they might have been in Iranian waters (although I personally think they were not, who can you believe?)
Thirdly, destroying Iran, won't make any good for many reasons. It has a lot of petrol, and petrol prices will go sky high if anything happens there. This is a perfect excuse for extremists to organize terrorists counter-attacks, and western countries are vulnerable even with all prevention they take.
Now I doubt this will be chosen as best answer because it doesn't go along the ideas of the person who asked the question (from the way it's formulated).

If Iran keeps messing around, flashing these videos, forcing the soldiers to write letters, and ultimately will not release them, then the UK needs to destroy Iran, and YES! It is our duty as Americans to assist our Brothers and Sisters in doing so. May God Bless those Soldiers, the UK, and the USA!

A smart & honorable nation would easily be able to negotiate release of the hostages.
Guess that means the US & UK might go to war.

We here in England would much rather do it as peacefully and as quickly as we can.... it's not always about going in there all guns blazing, or waging war unless absolutely necessary.

Let them do it themselves. Anyone remember a little incident with Argentina over the Falkland Islands? They're capable.
