No, everybody is missing the point. He’s NOT A NATURAL SEA SPONGE. He’s a synthetic cellulose kitchen sponge that was accidentally sucked down the drain in the kitchen sink through the sewers, until he finally reached the ocean (like ‘finding Nemo’ in reverse—where did you THINK Pixar got the idea?)
Spongebob is ADOPTED. That’s why he seems so odd and out of place, because he does not really belong on the bottom of the ocean. He was adopted and nobody realizes it. And people think he’s homo, for goodness sake!
No, Spongebob is far from homosexual. This is not to say he does not have problems, but they are not gender issues.
There was the time his girlfriend wanted him to make love to her, and he was a little nervous, so he asked her what kind of contraceptive she wanted to use. She replied, “I’ll just use my sponge… Bob!”
Can you understand the poor guy was traumatized? I mean, talk about a square peg in a round…well, you get the idea. Must’ve been awfully CROWDED in there!

They're saying every duo is gay now. Batman and Robin, Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street and now Spongebob and Patrick. These aren't real people...although Spongebob does have a faggy voice! Ha ha.

Well...sponges in real life have no gender, they belong to the phyla proferia. They are hepaprotites which means that they can reproduce by budding or fragmentation.
Its a cartoon meant for kids, sponge bob is a boy. Its the same as Spider-man, though he shoots webs from his hands, in real life spiders don't do that, its editted for TV.

Sponge Bob? No not at all. Have you seen American Dad? Now Roger, the alien, he /it has some serious issues with gender identity. Still its a good show :)
