It takes 4.2hrs. Just use the formula s=v·t and solve for t (where s is the average planet's distance to the Sun and v the speed of light).

Neptune is the Latin name for the ancient Greek God of the sea Poseidon. In modern Greek, this planet is still called Poseidon or more commonly Poseidonas.

The average distance of Neptune from our Sun is 4,504,000,000 km.

The speed of light is approximately 299,792 km / second.

Therefore, it would take sunlight approximately:

4,504,000,000 km / (299,792 km / sec) = 15,024 seconds = 250 minutes = 4.17 hours to reach Neptune
