Yes. It is possible to have strokes at 20. I've had them all my life and that really isn't good. What your friend is centered around his heart, not his head. And yes, a 20 year old man can have a heart attack. I've had that too.
I'm guessing that he hasn't worked out very much. If he's limping it might be because of the lactic acid build up. He going to have to get used to running. He can't jump in all at once. It might be also that he isn't running properly. Believe or not, 90% of people don't know how to run! Tell him to try and not to bounce so much. Lifting your knees too high will over exhert one's self. Try a more shuffling motion as he jogs. Let him have his own pace. He's not going to get in any better shape if he goes into cardiac arrest just to keep up with you.
Heart attack aren't just pains in the left side of the chest. For women it could be numbness, a back ache, hand hurting or anything like that. Resting and not excercising won't help this situation. Taking up a less straining excercises until he or she is fit is the best idea, I'd say. And for God sakes, go see a doctor.

I'm sorry for your friend. It is possible for even a newborn to experience a stroke. I think in your friend's case, he probably hyperventilated causing the numbness and his limping is due to muscle strain. He is fine and probably a bit anxious about his experience. Hang in there and be supportive. Have a great day;every day.

Yes, anyone at any age can suffer from a stroke!!! He needs to medically evaluated immediately!!! I would take him to the nearest emergency room!!!! This is not something to mess around with, this can be fatal!!!!!!!!

He should definitely see his doctor who is qualified, trained, and licensed to give medical advice. People on this site are not. Don't let him take any chances. Young people have strokes too.

Chow!!
