Dealers are biggest part of the drug network because they have the most contacts. There would almost certainly be retaliation against the person robbing the dealer by the dealer himself, his other clients, other dealers, and even the trafficers.
The dealer is usually armed.

Because 9 times out of 10 their number 1 mission is get the drugs the eaisest way possible, buy them and steal from those who are easy to steal from, the unsuspecting. Drug dealers usually have firearms to protect themselves and the dealers ususally know the junkies, so if they risk robbing the drug dealers there is likely payback to deal with which could mean death, unlike stealing from someone they don't know.
Junkies are cowards and steal from those who dont suspect them, i am sure drug dealers are all paranoid by nature and suspect they could be victimized at any time. Drug dealers are also cowards.

The dealers are the people who have the connection with the drug producers. It'd be like robbing CVS for aspirin money.
Or does basic black-market economics just go over your head?

The dealer is more likely to be armed than the general populous. Also more likely to find the drug addict and retaliate. but drug addicts do sometimes do it.

wow... excellent point.
probably because they are addicts and are too stupid to think that out. if they robbed their dealer they'd have to find a new dealer to get their drugs from.

Because no one would sell to them after that.... Their addiction controls their lives. They do everything just to be able to continue their supply of drugs.
